It takes some confidence.

Right after graduating from university, I moved town and got some temp jobs to get by while looking for work in my field.

When that first job finally landed, I was given my own office. An actual office, with its very own door, all to myself. It was a little surprising then but seems almost astonishing in retrospect. I no longer live in a world where a fresh graduate would enjoy that kind of real estate.

In any case, it was a sign of things to come over a few years of work with a wonderful team.
